Tlapa Guerrero is a city located in the state of Guerrero in southern Mexico. It is the second-largest city in the region after the capital, Chilpancingo. Tlapa Guerrero is situated in the midst of the scenic mountains of the Sierra Madre del Sur and has a population of approximately 110,000 people. The city has a rich history, dating back to the pre-Columbian era when it was inhabited by the indigenous Nahuas and Tlapanecos tribes. Today, Tlapa Guerrero is famous for its arts and crafts such as pottery, textiles, and woven baskets. The city also has several festivals and celebrations throughout the year, including the Feast of the Holy Cross in May and the Feast of Saint Francis in October. Despite being located in a rural area, Tlapa Guerrero has several modern amenities, including hospitals, banks, shopping centers, and restaurants.
